Saudi Surgeons Introduce “Majesty Flat,” a New Integrated Approach to Post-Pregnancy Abdominal Care

Riyadh-based medical model combines plastic surgery, rehabilitation and nutrition to address both function and appearance

‏RIYADH — Two Saudi plastic surgeons are developing a new integrated medical model designed to address changes in the abdominal wall following pregnancy and childbirth, bringing together surgery, rehabilitation, physical therapy and nutritional care under one treatment pathway.
Known as “Majesty Flat,” the model aims to move beyond the traditional approach of treating abdominal changes as a purely cosmetic concern. Instead, it focuses on assessing the abdominal wall as both a functional and aesthetic structure, particularly in women who have experienced multiple pregnancies and childbirths.
The initiative comes as Saudi Arabia’s healthcare sector continues to expand its specialized medical services, with Riyadh emerging as an increasingly important center for advanced healthcare and specialized procedures.
According to Saudi plastic surgeon Dr. Khalid Al-Zahrani, the condition of the abdominal wall can vary significantly from one patient to another, making comprehensive assessment an essential part of determining the appropriate treatment.
“The patient needs a comprehensive assessment and an integrated treatment plan. The changes that occur after years of pregnancy and childbirth cannot be reduced to a single cosmetic problem,” Dr. Al-Zahrani said.
The surgeon, who specializes in body contouring and body tightening following significant weight loss, said the approach is intended to provide patients with a more comprehensive pathway rather than focusing on a single cosmetic procedure.
‏Dr. Rayan Al-Hoshan said one of the key principles behind Majesty Flat is identifying the underlying cause of abdominal protrusion before determining the appropriate treatment.
“Not every protruding abdomen is caused by fat. In some cases, the problem lies within the abdominal wall itself. That is why we need to diagnose the cause and treat it, rather than focusing on appearance alone,” he said.
‏“This is where the idea of Majesty Flat came from — to give women who have gone through years of pregnancy and childbirth an integrated journey that can help restore the function and shape of the abdominal wall, rather than treating it as an isolated cosmetic procedure.”
‏Majesty Flat brings together specialists from several fields, with the treatment journey potentially involving plastic and reconstructive surgery, physical therapy and rehabilitation, nutritional support and post-operative follow-up.
The objective is to develop an individualized treatment plan based on each patient’s condition and needs, combining functional recovery with aesthetic outcomes.
The concept also reflects a broader shift in plastic surgery toward more comprehensive patient-centered care, where the surgical procedure is considered one stage within a wider treatment and recovery journey.
‏The development of Majesty Flat comes as Riyadh continues to strengthen its healthcare infrastructure and expand its specialized private medical sector.
The growth of advanced medical services in Saudi Arabia is also contributing to the Kingdom’s ambitions to become a regional destination for specialized healthcare and medical tourism, supported by investments in healthcare, technology and medical expertise.
In this context, initiatives such as Majesty Flat seek to demonstrate how Saudi medical expertise can develop specialized treatment models addressing specific patient needs while combining surgical expertise with rehabilitation and long-term care.
For women experiencing abdominal changes following pregnancy and childbirth, the model places particular emphasis on understanding the underlying condition rather than viewing the issue solely through a cosmetic lens.
As the project moves toward a wider rollout, its developers expect Majesty Flat to attract increasing attention during 2027, particularly as demand grows for integrated approaches that combine aesthetic results with functional recovery.
Ultimately, the concept is built around a simple principle: restoring the abdominal
